Dossier in TRANSLATION

Our dossier has been in Peru for almost a week. Supposedly, in translation which takes about 2 weeks, from what I understand. Then "Maria" (the attorney) will hand deliver it to the SNA office. I learned today that there are approx. 380 families on the list to adopt from Peru. Hmmmm.....don't know what that means for sure. I also learned that 25'ish orphans were placed in homes with families in January. Again, it's difficult to calculate or try to figure it out because there are so many different scenarios.
On the home front, last night was a little bit sad for Dakota Ray Thurn's ole' mom. :( What in the world? WHY, did I have to go to a parent meeting about Dakota enrolling for HIGH SCHOOL!! Yikes!! How could he seriously be going to High School?? Seems very weird. People have always told me to enjoy every moment because they go by so fast. At times like these, I realize that that is SOOOOO true.

Laci - I know exactly how you feel about enrolling Dakota into HS - Jim is now a Sophmore and I just remeber as a young mom thinking - Wow he is going to be here forever(espically on those not so fun days - the discipline days) and now, it is like he is going to be here for 2 more years before going to college and starting to make his own way ... I sure hope I have done good by him!!! God reminde him of the things we try to instill in them as they go out into the world ...

Laci and Larry,

Our children are gifts to us from above, we teach them from the time they are born to become responsibile independant individuals. You are doing just that. With you as their parents, the boys will make good choices with perhaps a stumble here and there. They will learn from mistakes just like the rest of us, but do not worry about high school days. It's another great time in your childrens life, to be their parent and enjoy the activities that they become involved in.
