Well...the waiting continues. We spoke with Maria Elena on Sunday night and she informed us that the SNA office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday! For "all saints day"!! And...we couldn't go to the orphanage to see Maria until after we had checked in there. Argggggggggggg.. So it looks like we wait until Wednesday! But....I will refer back to my ole' favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5 I AM GOING TO TRUST WITH ALL MY HEART AND NOT LEAN ON MY OWN UNDERSTANDING! His ways and His TIMING is STILL perfect! Just like it was, 4 years ago, just like it was 13 weeks ago when we learned about our sweetie and He is the SAME TODAY!! I believe this!
So, we got here safely after traveling all day on Saturday and Ricky met us at the airport and took us to our apartment. We un packed and headed off to bed!
The next morning we walked out and about a bit and waited for Tony Kay and Jim and the kids from Hannah's to come. Tony Kay spent the rest of the day with us. She took us to the Jockey plaza and there we went to the store. She was sooooo much help! Not sure how we would have done it without her.
Maria Elena and Raul come to visit for a couple hours last night. It was very nice and informative.
This morning, Ricky picked us up and brought us to Hannah's. We will have a mini mission trip thrown in! Larry had a paint brush in his hand and I just got done cutting hair!!!
We will stay the night here and Ricky will come and pick us up in the tomorrow afternoon.
gotta get,
Love to all,Laci:)

Psalm 18 30-36
God's way is perfect. All the Lord's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a sold rock? God arms me with strength. , and He makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; He strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have a made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

Pinch me...
We are literally on our way to Peru and I still find myself in a state of disbelief! It is hard to comprehend that this is actually happening, we are actually going to meet our daughter in 2 days. Let me say, that leaving the boys was NOT EASY! A mom's mind goes to all kinds of totally stupid places of all the terrible things that could happen when she is not there to “protect, lead, nurture” for 5 WEEKS! But, I am reminded that God loves them even more then I do and there is something much bigger going on here then my crazy little head worms.
So....off we go!!!
To my knowledge, we have a friend, Ricky, picking us up from the air port (aero porto – Lisa) tonight when we get in and taking us to our apartment. Tomorrow morning we will get a ride to church with the kids and Jim and Tony Kay from Hannah's! The church that Dakota and all the Peru 2011 group from Gateway know and love. Then, our sweetest little tour guide Tony Kay has offered to take show us around a bit. Get acquainted with the apartment and its surroundings. Find the store, that we can walk to and a few other places. Sunday will be a day of adjusting.
It's my understanding that on Monday our attorney, Maria Elena (with Villa Hope) will take us to the SNA office and the yet another ball of paperwork “rolling”. From there, we are supposed to be off to the orphanage to see the sweetest little treat for Halloween. Hopefully we are not the “scary” part of her day!!!! What with all this blonde hair and all!! Yikes!:)
Meanwhile, in the airport today we saw all sorts of sparkly tennis shoes, and fluffy pink back packs and adorable hair bows. And we wonder........
